If one researches the history of Darwin, one will find that he withheld publication of his book, Origin of Species, for almost two decades because he was afraid of negative backlash from the accepted religious norms of the day. Since in this chapter I've backtracked a few hours from the unveiling, everything in this chapter is picturing the environment of the day before Darwin published Origin of Species.
Ideas about biologic evolution were gaining ground, but, of course, it was very controversial. Clarence going crazy and needing anti-psychotic medication pictures how crazy the idea of evolution first seemed. An alien possessing Clarence then claiming Jeff should not believe aliens who deny the existence of God, is picturing the double-mindedness of scientists who believe this concept. After all, the God of evolution could logically be a highly evolved alien, but scientists tend to waffle at this idea. Why? It should be a logical extension of their theory if they really believe in evolution! The battle ensues and Jeff is rescued by another alien, picturing how other scientists (namely Darwin's precursors) began to come to the rescue of a mankind beginning to struggle with this concept (pictured by Jeff's struggle) and try to harmonize the scientific data to confirm the validity of evolution.
Then Jeff learns from Valerie that millions have disappeared worldwide, picturing (as I said in the Chapter Two analysis) the disappearance of the influence of people of faith after publication of Origin of Species. So this part in the story is picturing the year 1859, the year Darwin's groundbreaking book was published. The ideas from this book would one day inspire the writers of Star Trek to write the episode that would spark my epiphany! Read on to find out just who and/or what is this God that mankind has been fighting over for thousands of years. I guarantee the truth will shock and amaze you. Just as Darwin harmonized the scientific data and explained the basics of evolution, I intend to harmonize all the religions of the world with the proven scientific realities behind evolution and explain the basics of the very consciousness that is at the core of all of us all.
